Training

Every organisation working with adults with care and support needs has a responsibility to ensure their organisation has a well-informed and well-trained workforce that understands safeguarding roles and responsibilities.

Our role as a Safeguarding Adults Board is to seek assurance that local organisations are adequately training their staff and volunteers about safeguarding adults. We also offer a comprehensive training programme to increase the safeguarding knowledge, skills, and awareness of the local workforce.  Training includes topics such as home fire safety visits, modern slavery, basic safeguarding adults awareness and mental capacity courses.

Most training takes place via MS Teams or Zoom. A link will be sent to delegates a few days before the training takes place. To find out which courses are currently being delivered, please email SafeguardingAdultsTraining@islington.gov.uk
