July 30 marks the 30th World Day Against Trafficking in Persons—a chance to shine a light on the global issue of human trafficking and the importance of supporting victims. Islington Council is proud to play its part, with a dedicated team working year-round to spot signs of exploitation, support those affected, and keep criminal networks at bay. From staff training to smart procurement checks, the Council is committed to making a real difference and helping build a safer community for everyone. This is a big problem within adult safeguarding that is strived to be eliminated.
If you or someone you know is affected or needs support, please don’t hesitate to speak up—help is always available. You can directly contact Integrated Front door at Islington Adult Social Care Safeguarding Concern Form
